Animated Cycles (Drawing and Visualisation)
I started of drawing a flag animation, to learn how to create a cyclic motion. Once I knew what I was doing, I created a leaking tap animation it didn't take me as long as the flag drawing, now that I know what I'm doing.

Death and the Mother
Ruth Lingford was the director and writer of Death and a Mother, I can't say I love this short film because its quite sad and you realy have to pay attenchen to the detaile or you'r not goner under stand whats going on. What I do like about this film is the style of art and I like how everything is in black and white apart from the blood parts. This film was shown to me and my class mates in my drawing class, I belive to give us some inspiration and a different way of animation art.

Animation and the Real (Contextual Studies)
Mimesis means its a mirror image (an exact copy). For example the Myron's Discus Thrower.
The statue looks real because of the muscle tone that has been shown and the way the statue is posed like any other human would be able to portray. Even tho I agree this is a very good interpratashion of a man, I believe that there are a few things that are not realistic, like the background there isn't anything there and there is no skin colour.
Linear Perspective made paintings more realistic. For example Andrea Mantegna Lamentation of the Dead Christ. The technique that has been used in this painting is Foreshortening.
Early C.G.I. films like Tron were mostly developed by computers, the only thing that looked realistic was the people in it and even they looked animated now and then.

Eugene Delacroix
Head of a Lion Roaring 1843
Book (Romanticism)
I love artists different ways in painting animals and this artists style I like. I love how the fear on the lion looks almost feather like its different, I like how it flows with thick strokes and not dainty small strokes. The color in this painting is amazing, this animal portrait is one of a kind and I like that. I wood love to paint like that.
Artist: Jodie Ellen Morris
Name: Lions
Date: 2011
This Painting is one of mine it took me about 4 hours to paint, I like how different mine and the top artist style of painting is, even tho they are different they still both look like lions.
Johan Christian Dahl
Bitch Tree in a Storm 1849
Book (Romanticism)
I like the realism in this painting, this is the style of painting I love. The reason why I love this style is because I like the way you can almost smell the leaves flowing in the painting, I like how the sun bounces off the leaves and branches. I just like the fact you can almost touch the tree with your bare hands, it looks that real.
Carlos Enriquez
The Abduction of the Mulatas 1938
Book (Caribbean art)
I like this painting because I love the style, the color and I love how eye catching this painting is. what I love most about this painting is that I would never have painted this because its something I wouldn't enjoy painting, it looks to abstract for me to paint. I hate to paint abstract I don't enjoy that style of painting, but I love to look at this painting because you can feel the emotion oozing from this painting.

Animation and Childhood (Contextual Studies)
What we were talking about in contextual studies is why people assume animation is mostly for children. One of the example why animation isn't mostly for children is Betty Boop, it has adult contexts. The character was dressed very provocatively, also the story in Minnie the Moocher the things that were said wasn't appropriate for children ears like 'come here big boy'.
The start of Red hot riding hood was very child like and reminded me of Looney toons. The way the start of the cartoon was performed was cute and childish but not scary, then the story changed and started to get aggresive and sexual. There are some scenes that have been used in other movies like when the wolf was growling, howling and banging on the table was also used in the mask in the same sort of way.
In my opinion animation is for all ages, like for example toy story. The first and second movies were mostly for children but when the animators realised that adults and teenagers enjoyed the movie as well as the children, they decided to change it up a bit in toy story 3. The reason why i believe that toy story 3 is mostly for teenagers and adults than children is because of the fact that buzz starts to speak in Spanish, the bear becomes very dark and sinister and also the characters were about to die, it all became a little too scary and confusing for younger ages.

Toy Story 3 - Buzz Lightyear's memory resets
I thought this film was great, it went well with the other toy story movie exsept I thing they made it a little bit older. The clip is buzz speaking Spanish and a lot of children loved the movie until it got to the Spanish bit because they didn't understand what was going on. My little brother hatted that part he was in a mood all day because he didn't understand the movie, so I think that they have changed it to try and make it funny but in the end they forgot about the little children who cant read and want understand that part.

Rio - First 2 minutes
I was watching this with my family at Christmas and my baby brother loves it and so dose my parents, I love the fact there are movies that look and act so kiddy yet older people love watching it. I would love to be able to create an animation where all ages can enjoy.
